10 Things You Must Carry When Travelling

Whether we are taking a road trip for a whole day or a month long tour to another country, travelling can become quite a bane when you realize you have forgotten to bring your necessities. The interesting thing is the fact that a lot of these things are something we do not even consider carrying with us until we realize we need them so badly on the spot. I am not pointing towards the very basics like passports, phone chargers and water bottles, which we all know we “have” to carry but some of the less talked about must-have(s) that are almost lifesavers.

  1. Bandages

These are absolute essentials when it comes to travelling even for everyday life. Minor cuts are almost everyday phenomenon for some people and when you are on a trip, the last thing you want is a minor cut to be infected. So, bandages come extremely handy.

  1. Lip Balm

I know that most girls already carry these Godsend amazing entities but it is very important to carry them when you are travelling even for men. A lot of times, the destination we have travelled to can have a distinctive weather that our body is not accustomed to. In cases like these, our lips tend to become very dry and choppy. Besides, it is simple great sense to always keep your lips hydrated.

  1. Running Shoes

You never know when your car can break down on your road trip and you end up walking a mile or so. Do you want to do all that in your flip-flops and cause yourself horrific blisters? Probably not right? So, keeping a pair of running shoes with you while travelling is a must.

  1. Health Bars

Snacks that are easy to carry and super healthy to eat are angels in disguise. Health bars like granola, fruit, nut or even chocolate bars that are rich in protein and fiber are amazingly useful to carry in your handbag. On tours when you have not found a decent place to eat for hours or simply when you start suffering from low blood pressure, emergency snacks like these come to your rescue. And what is better than a healthy bar that gives you energy and fills you up right? So, grab one of your favorite health bars, which come in an immense range of variety and get going.

  1. Extra Pair of Specs

This is for all those who wear spectacles as a necessity. Even if you are going on a daylong trip only, do not forget to pack an extra pair of specs in case of emergencies that may come knocking your door.

  1. Sunblock

Sunscreens are the knight in shinning armor for crying out loud! How much we all need a sunblock in our bag every time we step out and especially for long trips is something we all should know by now. So, keep your sunscreen lotions handy when you intend to take a trip.

  1. Sunglass

Similarly like sunscreens, sunglasses are a must when you travel. Apart from protecting our eyes, think of how great you will look with those glares on!

  1. Antiseptic cream

Just like you cannot predict what happens tomorrow, you have no way of foreseeing what your holiday can turn into. So, it is always better to be safe than sorry. Antiseptic creams like Savlon are extremely essential to carry when you are travelling.

  1. Antibacterial Wet Wipes

I personally prefer wet wipes to hand sanitizers because with hand sanitizers, you are kind of massaging the dirt around your hands. Wet wipes are much easier to carry and use. Not only are they convenient for wiping hands and mouths but also when using a public toilet seat.

  1. Deodorant

Trust me this is a must-have more for others around you than yourself really. I do not think I have to explain why carrying deodorant with you is an absolute essential when you travel. Please just do!

If you think there are some more adequate essentials that I missed out, please do comment and share with us.
