If you ever checked the top anime list in the mystery/horror categories, you will definitely see the anime “Another” as one of the most popular in this genre. This anime was aired in 2012 with 12 episodes.

Each and every episode is full of suspense and the suspense keeps going. There is an additional special episode of this anime which was aired in 2014. Having watched plenty of anime in thriller, mystery, and horror genre, I truly felt that this one is a masterpiece.

The sound effects, the art, the characters, milieu, situations, suspense, Yes Another has everything. I was hooked after just two episodes. I finished this anime in one night. This is probably one of the shortest anime ever with just 12 episodes (13 if you take in the additional one).

A guy named Koichi Sakakibara who is brought up without a mother and a father also missing from his daily life due to work commitments. Koichi moves in with his grandma and aunt in Tokyo where he is a transfer student into the local school.

He soon noticed a gloomy atmosphere in his class. There was a girl in his class named Misaki Mae who wears a eye patch and who doesn’t have any friends. When Koichi Shakibara intaracted with her, he realized that the entire class treated her as if she doesn’t exist. As he gets close to her he also gets closer to the truth behind the mystery.

The mystery lovers out there, this is a good anime worth watching. The art of this anime is so good that it reflects the mood of the series. A bit slow at the start but picks up pace. This anime will drive you with curiosity, leave you predicting and be surprised every time. Even with an heads-up that you will be mind boggled at the end, you will STILL BE SHELL-SHOCKED.

I was absolutely obsessed with this anime. The mystery plot is more than enough to keep you engaged. It was an experience I would not have missed this virtual roller coaster ride for the world.
