Building a nursery for your child is still somewhat easier compared to renovating your little one’s room when he/she is around five or six year old. They start having an opinion, viewpoint and pretty strong preferences. So, here are some amazing wall décor ideas for your child’s bedroom to create a beautiful environment for your loved one.
Disney Characters on The Wall
I am sure most children are fans of Disney characters and they all have favorite ones, whether it is Olaf from Frozen or the Lion King gang including Timon, Pumba and Simba. So, why not have their favorite Disney characters live with them in the bedroom? Pick a wall that is opposite to the bed of the room and get a Disney world painted on that entire wall. You can get professionals to do this.
On the other hand, if painting and making it permanent is something you are hesitant to do since your child might grow up to unlike it at some time, you can get wall stickers or wallpapers of the Disney characters and stick them on your preferred wall.
Comforting Light Colors
If you are planning to color all the walls of the room, then the best option is to opt for light soothing colors like sky blue, baby pink, lemon yellow, pastel green or even lavender. It is really a wise pick to go for light colors when coloring all the walls since bright and vibrant shades will make the room very dark and less airy. There is more chance of the room staying warmer and less cool. Lighter colors have a comforting and breezy effect that brightens the room and keeps the coziness alive in your baby’s bedroom.
You can also include monochromic little flowers or stars on the corners of the walls to add a touch of childlike fun.
Glow-in-the-dark Stickers on the Ceiling
This is one of my personal favorites and children who are obsessed with the solar system; it will be a dream bedroom for them. You can stick Glow-in-the-dark sticker of stars, moon, planets, etc. on the bedroom ceiling. You can create your child’s very own solar system to look up to at night.
White Board Canvas
Every child enjoys drawing, writing and scribbling almost everywhere. A lot of times their canvas stretches out from books and papers to walls and floors, which unfortunately turns out to be a nightmare for the parents. This wall décor idea is the perfect solution to your child’s shenanigans!
Have a large size white board attached to one of the walls of the bedroom with markers and dusters handy nearby. The rest of the wall can just have a nice bright color or can be a light color complimenting the rest of the bedroom. This white board wall will look super cool and chic and also provide your child with overwhelming joy to scribble all day.
Swing it for Your Little One
This is quite simple yet elegant for your child’s room. Pick a wall that has plenty of space in front of it. Paint it a little bright in contrast to the other walls of the room, like ochre yellow or grass green. You can hang plastic wind chimes on the top of the wall on a series forming a beautiful chain. On the right end is where you set up a single swing. You can carpet the floor area and put up beanbags around. There! You have a lazy but playful wall for your child to relax.
Light Grey and White Theme
This is a very aesthetic and calming wall décor. Paint all the walls grey and include white designs on top of it like shooting stars, butterflies, flowers or simply polka dots. You can do this in all the walls including the ceiling to make it more enchanting.
